Tanmiah awarded for its social program

Tanmiah, a social development committee, has been awarded for leading social development projects in the GCC.
A function was held recently at the Social Development Committee Center in Dammam’s Al-Rawdah neighborhood celebrating the success of the social program which was considered the best in the GCC.
Speaking on the occasion, Tanmiah chairperson Mohammad Al-Khamis said: “We are overwhelmed with happiness that our goals and strategic plans worked well and that the program succeed."
“We have been running such a program for the last seven years with special focus on the skills that Saudi youth need to acquire,” he added.
“The support of the deputy governor of the Eastern Province, Prince Abdulaziz bin Jalawi, had played a big part in our success, as well as cooperation with the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Dar Alyaum,” said Al-Khamis.
Abdulrahman Al-Wabel, secretary-general of the Asharqia Chamber, expressed his appreciation of the efforts of the committee. He said: “I assure you this honor given to the social committees of the GCC is aimed at encouraging essential principles of social responsibility to everyone in order to ensure the permanent development of societies.”
Naif Al-Subai, the program manager, said: “I am so happy that we made it. We want to tell people that it isn’t only the government’s responsibility to take care of community development but also the peoples’ responsibility to develop society, especially private and commercial sectors but also through voluntary work.”
“Through this program, we succeeded in creating 291 jobs for both genders. In addition, we have run 198 different training courses throughout the journey of the committee, which has spanned eight years,” Naif Al-Subai said. He also said “we have trained 7,599 youngsters in different programs.”
