Alsalam Knights, Batolina star in Almarai Saturday League

On the 4th week of the Almarai-FBGR Saturday Bowling League 12th Conference at Universal Bowling Center, Alsalam Knights and Joel Batolina emerged the Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week respectively.
Almarai Company is the sponsor of the tournament under the aegis of Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).
Alsalam Knights mentored by Bandar Al-Marshad found an easy way to beat the newly formed team of Koko Torres Sebo Boys 23-8.
The duo of Al-Marshad and Jess Vidal led the team by scoring 932 and 922, with support from Rollie Cleofe 859, Alfred Valencia 807 and Efren Abuyo 578. Top scorers for the losing team were Torres 871, Angel Caasi 819 and Charlie Cheng 736 points.
In another encounter, the sponsored team Almarai Company edged out the defending champion Eraserheads 18-16 in a 2-2 match and had all the reasons to be jubilant when its ace bowler Batolina bagged the individual award.
Batolina drilled 974. Doy Del Moral likewise bowled well for Almarai with 861 while Alex Armada added 641 and Jun Daniel 605. Andro Tismo led the losing team by scoring 931 with Edwin Atienza on 831, Joe Garrido 822 and Armin Isles 738.
Nadec, mentored by Lope Ramirez, beat Kapit-Bisig of Fe Divinagracia 14-9. Top scorers were Jove Marano 804, Ruben Babasa 802, Jojo Paciano 780 and Reynald Medina 746. For the losing team Jojie Manalansan led the way on 863, Clem Ojeda had 761, Omar Valdez 758 and James Boyd 739 points..
In another match, RG512 for Clothes mentored by Yasser Mohamed edged out the Carry Over of Lulu Quejada 18-15 in a 2-2 match.
Leading scorers of the winning team were Shakur Kamlian 896, Noel Marquez 822 and Mike Ecalnir 821. Thong Asuncion contributed 646 and Rasheed Rasheedan 613.
In other matches, Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia Jr. defeated Pin–XXX of Benny Mondoy 21-9, Expendibles of Hani Al-Nasleh walloped Alfanar Precast of Ricky Bunao 22-6 and Alinma Bank of Abdularahman Ahmed edged SABB Tenpin Wizards of Allan Ofreneo 17-14.
