Crimson Tide rout Florida Atlantic 40-7

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama: The top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide had little trouble rolling over Florida Atlantic 40-7 in top-25 college football Saturday.
AJ McCarron threw three touchdown passes, including an early 85-yarder to Kenny Bell, and Eddie Lacy rushed for 106 yards in the first half for the unbeaten Crimson Tide, which rolled to 134 consecutive points and two shutouts before allowing a late touchdown.
The Owls managed only one first down through three quarters and were outgained 503-110 in total yards. McCarron was 15-of-25 passing for 212 yards before leaving midway through the third quarter. The 85-yarder came 1:42 into the game and is tied for the fifth-longest touchdown pass in Tide history.
No. 2 LSU 12, Auburn10: At Auburn, Alabama, Sam Montgomery and the LSU defense delivered a first-quarter safety and shut out Auburn in the second half.
Auburn led 10-9 at halftime, but managed only 183 yards. A fumbled punt return by Auburn’s Quan Bray set up Drew Alleman’s 30-yard field goal late in the third quarter that gave LSU a 12-10 lead.
No.3 Oregon 49 No. 22 Arizona 0: At Eugene, Oregon, Redshirt freshman Marcus Mariota threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns, including a 55-yard scoring pass to freshman Bralon Addison late in the third quarter, and No. 3 Oregon beat No. 22 Arizona.
Arizona couldn’t find the end zone and quarterback Matt Scott, a fifth-year senior who spent the last two season’s behind Nick Foles, passed for 210 yards but was intercepted three times — one resulting in an Oregon touchdown.
No.4 Florida State 49 Clemson 37: At Tallahassee, Florida, the fourth-ranked Seminoles rolled up 667 yards of total offense and scored 35 second-half points to erase No. 10 Clemson’s seven-point halftime lead on their way to a close victory.
Florida State’s EJ Manuel threw for a career-high 380 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another 102 yards.
No. 5 Georgia 48 Vanderbilt 3: At Athens, Georgia, Aaron Murray completed his first 12 passes and No. 5 Georgia finally got off to a good start, blowing out Vanderbilt before halftime.
Murray hooked up with Tavarres King and Marlon Brown on touchdown throws, breaking a tie with Eric Zeier for second place in school history. The junior quarterback has 69 TDs, just three behind David Greene.
No. 15 Kansas State 24 No. 6 Oklahoma 19: At Norman, Oklahoma, John Hubert ran for 130 yards and a touchdown, Jarell Childs scooped up a fumble and returned it for a score and the Wildcats beat the Sooners.
Collin Klein picked up 228 yards of total offense and ran for the go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter in a solid performance that outshined and error-filled night by Sooners quarterback Landry Jones.
No. 7 South Carolina 31 Missouri10: At Columbia, South Carolina, Connor Shaw completed 20 straight passes and threw for two touchdowns and Marcus Lattimore ran for two scores as South Carolina manhandled Missouri in the Tigers’ first Southeastern Conference road game.
Lattimore rushed for 85 yards. His touchdowns gave him South Carolina’s career mark with 33 rushing scores, a record Lattimore shared with Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers and Harold Green.
No. 8 West Virginia 31 Maryland 21: At Morgantown, West Virginia, Doug Rigg returned a fumble 51 yards for West Virginia and Tavon Austin had another remarkable game against his home-state Terrapins.
The Baltimore native caught 13 passes for 179 yards and set a school record for career receptions.
No. 11 Notre Dame 13 No. 18 Michigan 6: At South Bend, Indiana, Manti Te’o had two interceptions as No. 11 Notre Dame picked off five Michigan passes and backup quarterback Tommy Rees sparked the Fighting Irish offense in a win over the 18th-ranked Wolverines.
No. 13 USC 27 California 9: At Los Angeles, Matt Barkley passed for 192 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Marqise Lee, and No. 13 Southern California bounced back from its first defeat with a victory over California.
No. 14 Florida 38 Kentucky 0: At Gainesville, Florida, Jeff Driskel accounted for two touchdowns to help Florida beat Kentucky for the 26th straight time. The Gators also recorded their first shutout in conference play since a 52-0 victory against Mississippi State in 2001.
No. 16 Ohio State 29 UAB 15: At Columbus, Ohio, Braxton Miller ran for two touchdowns and Ohio State overcame a lethargic, mistake-filled effort to hold off UAB.
No. 17 TCU 27 Virginia 7: At Fort Worth, Texas, Brandon Carter had a 68-yard touchdown on one of his two one-handed catches, linebacker Kenny Cain recovered a fumble along with two interceptions and TCU won its 11th straight game.
Oregon State 27 No. 19 UCLA 20: At Pasadena, California, Sean Mannion passed for a career-high 379 yards and two touchdowns as Oregon State beat UCLA to start the teams’ Pac-12 seasons.
No. 20 Louisville 28 FIU 21: At Miami, Teddy Bridgewater passed for two touchdowns and ran for another score and the Cardinals remained unbeaten. Senorize Perry rushed for 74 yards for the Cardinals, while Darian Mallary and Jake Medlock both rushed for touchdowns for the Panthers.
No. 21 Michigan State 23 Eastern Michigan 7: At East Lansing, Michigan, Le’Veon Bell rushed for a career-high 253 yards and a touchdown to help stagnant Michigan State avoid a major upset.
No. 23 Mississippi State 30 South Alabama 10: At Starkville, Mississippi, Tyler Russell completed 13 of 27 passes for 171 yards for Mississippi State, while LaDarius Perkins rushed for a team-high 69 yards — including a 44-yard touchdown run.
No. 25 Nebraska 73 Idaho State 7: At Lincoln, Nebraska Rex Burkhead ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns and Nebraska made quick work of Idaho State. The Cornhuskers (3-1) led 35-0 after the first quarter and 45-0 at half in the rout.
