JEDDAH: The Consulate General of India has started an online application system for registration of “Indian Citizenship by Descent.” This may be accessed at the following website: indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in (link on the consulate’s website www.cgijeddah.com), the consulate said in a statement.
To use this application system, an applicant needs to log on to the website and apply online for quick processing. The applicant is required to preserve the MHA File Number (generated automatically after final submission of the online form). The applicant then needs to submit the duly signed/self attested hard copy of the computer-generated application form and supporting documents to the consulate.
