The theater club of King Abdulaziz University with cooperation of Jeddah Literary Cultural Club are planning to have a comedy play for children during Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations on Aug. 23 for three days at Jeddah Literary Cultural Club.
Another Comedy play “Yejee” (he will come) will be held at Abar Al-Raghama cultural center on 2nd , 3rd an d4th day of Eid–Al-Fitr, organized by Social satirical, under the supervision of Jeddah Municipality.
The play “The wooden Horse” written by Sami Salem and directed by Ahmed Alsman while the actors of the play are Mohammed Yahyawi, Abdulaziz AL-Qadeer, Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Ahmed Al-Qarni, Muthanna Muammar, Muhammad Al-Othman and produced by Mohammed Bawazir theater department.
Ahmed Alsman the director of the play said that “The Wooden Horse” is a several award winner play which will be the best of the entertainment for the children and adults especially on the celebrations of EId Al-Fitr.
He thanked Osama Tayeb, the President of King Abdulaziz University, Ayman Fadel dean of students affairs, Abdul Lateef, dean of students activities for their continued support and exceptional care for Saudi theater.
Abdullah bin Hatab, Director of Student’s Clubs at University King Abdulaziz said that the university theater is characterized by providing work of a variety of different schools of theater.
“Our theater artists are very talented, they participated in a number of local Arab and international festivals from Universities festival of GCC to experimental theater in Egypt and in various festivals, the club has won various prizes. Last year they won best actor award in Moroccan theater festival,” said Hatab.
The play presented the truth of life in a funny way. It revolves around different characters of life. The stage showed how we are puppets in the hands of our fate in unique comedies which represent the hard truth of life in the lighter way.
The writer put his embodiment of thoughts from a depth of emotion, his observation from his surroundings.
The timings for the theater will be 8:30 p.m. with free entrance.
The artists of the play “Yejee” (he will come) will be Imad Al-Youssef, Jameel Ali, Abdullah Al-Yami, Abdulaziz Al-Shamari, Ahmed Al-Hazmi, Fahd Ghazoli and Adel Saleh.
The timings of the theater at Abar Al-Raghama will be 10 p.m., there will be a separate place for women, with free entrance.
