Qitaf contributes to more than 1,000 charities in Kingdom

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) customers are positively interacting with its Qitaf program through which they have been donating their accumulated loyalty points to the poor and hungry, and to people with special needs.
The initiative aims to provide a platform through which donations can be made to people with special needs, and is part of STC's commitment to its CSR program. Qitaf is unique in the sense that it features a comprehensive list of charities in the Kingdom and allows donation to hundreds of charities and gives options to various donation methods in addition to simplifying the donation process.
STC's Qitaf, the Kingdom's first of its kind loyalty program, has revolutionized the concept of charitable work through a partnership with the Global Goodness program sponsored by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The partnership aims to support social work and humanitarian aid through programs, investments and charitable activities provided by organizations.
Developments in IT and telecommunications have motivated STC to invest more time and effort in Qitaf to facilitate charity work. Qitaf customers thus will be able to donate their points through the Global Goodness program, which operates with more than 1,000 charities across the Kingdom. A comprehensive list of participating charities is available on www.gg.org.sa. Customers wishing to donate their points may send an SMS message containing “9999” to #902, and will promptly receive a message providing detailed information and a guideline describing how to donate the points. To donate 250 Qitaf points directly, which is equivalent to SR 50 for all Qitaf customers (diamond, gold, silver, basic), customers may send an SMS message to #902, containing “9999,” space, charity code, space, number of points to be donated; alternatively they may visit the website www.stc.com.sa.
