SABB Takaful Company sponsored a charity event with the goal of distributing Ramadan food baskets for more than 100 low-income Saudi families. The event took place at the headquarters of Al-Nahda Women's Charitable Society in Riyadh recently. The Ramadan food baskets contained food items popular among Saudi families during the holy month.
The Ramadan food basket program introduced by SABB Takaful is a continuation of long-standing efforts to further its corporate citizenship policy and promote a national culture of solidarity and mutual cooperation for the betterment of our communities.
Adrian Flowers, CEO, SABB Takaful, who supervised the event, said, “SABB Takaful's sponsorship of this charitable activity is an extension of the spirit of values that the company is built upon. Responding to social needs during the holy month of Ramadan exemplifies the cooperative spirit of our brand of insurance. Thus, we view our CSR programs as a natural complement of our core business. We are proud of our efforts, and will continue such activities in the near future.”
Heba Al-Zamel, director of HRD & PR at Al-Nahda Society, said: “The holy month of Ramadan is a spectacular opportunity for those interested in community giving to engage the non-profit sector in fruitful partnerships to properly address societal concerns. Al-Nahda possesses a long track record of organizing charitable functions and enjoys a close relationship with many donors.”
