Four international consortia have been shortlisted to offer financial and technical bids to implement the Riyadh monorail project, Riyadh Gov. Prince Sattam announced.
Prince Sattam, who is also the chairman of the High Commission For Riyadh Development (HCRD), said the consortia are made up of a total of 33 companies from countries and include the biggest world rail makers who carried out rail and metro projects in cities including Paris, London, Washington and Hong Kong.
The shortlist was announced after 38 consortia submitted bids to the HCRD, said Prince Sattam, who is head of the higher supervisory committee overseeing the implementation of a public transport system in Riyadh.
The four consortia should submit their financial and technical bids within four months, he said.
