Commerce and Industry Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah met with Pakistan Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan in Riyadh and discussed proposals for deepening economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
They agreed to hold the next round of Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) meeting in Islamabad in September.
Rabiah will also take along a delegation of leading Saudi businessmen to Pakistan. It was agreed that a meeting of the Joint Business Council (JBC) will be held on the margins of the JMC in Islamabad.
During the meeting, it was also agreed that an early conclusion of Pakistan-GCC Free Trade Agreement (FTA) would give fillip to economic and trade ties of Pakistan with the Kingdom and other GCC countries.
