RCJY chief signs contracts for Jubail projects

President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan has signed three contracts related to the operation and maintenance of Jubail Industrial College (JIC), road maintenance and construction of an integrated complex for operations and maintenance in Jubail Industrial City.
The total cost of the three contracts is SR 117 million.
The first contract was signed with the Arabian Company for Supplies and Architectural Contracting, who will operate and maintain JIC, which is composed of 50 buildings.
The scope of work will cover installation of electrical and mechanical fixtures, sewage networks, air-conditioning and heating systems, fire protection systems, loudspeakers, and technical failure reporting systems.
The contract is worth SR 44 million and will be implemented within five years.
The second contract was signed with Mohammed Abdullah Al-Masad & Co, which will refurbish existing roads in the industrial area, sewage networks and others.
The total value of the contract is over SR 40 million and will be implemented within 26 months.
The third contract was signed with Tahir Odwani General Contracting Establishment, which will build an operation and maintenance complex in Jubail Industrial City that will house RCJY offices, contractors, warehouses, a mosque and mechanical and maintenance workshops.
The scope of work covers road lighting, utilities networks (including electricity and telecom lines towers), installation of security cameras, air-conditioning and heating systems, fire protection systems and a moisture protection system.
The total value of the contract is SR 32.79 million and will be implemented within 20 months.
