Taurus RDLR clinches honors in Faris Trading Bowling League

Taurus RDLR clinched Team of the Week honors and in the process put itself in position to challenge league leader Al-Mottawer Engineering after the fifth week in the Faris Trading Monday Night Bowling League 16th Season at Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.
Taurus pooled the best tally of 37 points in a performance that pushed RDLR just 2.5 points adrift of Mottawer, which lost some ground at the top after a modest haul of 24 points.
Sarawat D’ Barkads were second on the night with 30 points with Jem Strikers on 29.
Cee Bee Aviation mustered 22 points followed by Farisbowling.com 20 and Kulisap ng Jeddah Lanes 17.
Brothers 4 Ever, Boungaville and MC Hammer were the last three teams to check in on 16, 13 and 12 points in that order.
Amro Al-Amri of Sarawat nabbed his second consecutive Bowler of the Week award when he rolled the high series of 699 on lines of 226, 226 and 247.
Taurus’s hot display was tempered only by a fourth-place finish for 7 points in the third game as the team claimed the first two games and the top overall output.
At the vanguard of the Taurus charge was the trio of James Galvan, Raul delos Reyes and Larry Santos who drilled 678, 629 and 611 in that order. Contributing two games each were Obie Ycasas 204-209, Edwin Ronquillo 211-205 and Nap Patayan 196-212.
Besides Amri’s 699 Sarawat D’ Barkads, another team knocking at Mottawer’s door along with Jem Strikers in a tight leaderboard, received 647 from Victor Pagayon, 605 from Leo Edejer and 602 from Dan Ednave. Bonnie Garcia, with a 530, completed the D’ Barkad’s single set of five players.
Jem drew 655 and 622 from Majid Aslani and Marlon Heredia as well as 597 from Paul Antipora, 536 from Manny Laguardia, 161-214 from Jeff San Pedro and 225 from Paul Allego.
For Mottawer, the leading scorers were Fahad Al Romaih 693 and Atoi Cruz 631, while Cee Bee had Goying Salazar showing the way on 617.
The duo of Igna Salgado and Nick Gozun took charge at Farisbowling on 650 and 647. Veteran Cris Villavelez added 569, while Cesar Monares had 192-171, Edu Toledo 159-178 and Richard Antonio 156-170.
