Asir Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khaled opened an exhibition called “Asir in Photos 2012” at the Muftaha Arts Village in Abha yesterday.
The Council of Technical and Vocational Training (CTVT) organized the exhibition as part of the Abha festival, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
After cutting the ribbon to mark the formal inauguration, the prince toured the pavilions, which showcased 85 professional photos highlighting the natural beauty of mountains, valleys and beaches in the province.
The prince also commended the efforts of the event organizers when writing in the visitor’s register.
Chairman of the CTVT’s Abha branch Abdullah Al-Marzouq expressed his thanks and appreciation to the governor for his support for the event, which aimed to familiarize tourists with the scenic beauty of the province.
A number of professional photographers including members of the CTVT are participating in the exhibition. Booklets highlighting the programs and achievements of the council are also distributed at the exhibition. Summer festivals in Abha attract large number of tourists particularly because the weather is cooler in the province compared to other places.
