What is it with the Saudi railway?
Why does it have to be so complicated to the extent of rollover?
Well, it is out of question that we need a railway to connect the huge country of ours, from east to west and north to south. But if the case of the short running train (400 km only!) is always disappointing, how can we judge the expected massive expansion linking the Kingdom!
Even though the current train has been running for the last 50 years, the situation was never encouraging for a serious public use! This explains why Riyadh-Dammam Road (highway travelers’ road) is as busy as Khurais Road! Thousands of us prefer to drive rather than taking the train. Now, it is going to get even worse after the last train accident!
The Saudi government should find a way out as fast as possible! People have had enough of waiting, being promised and dreaming! Maybe the private sector has to get involved! No mission or committee is going to help in this matter.
Please stop fantasies! The load of population cannot wait much longer! The load on aviation is a conflict already and soon enough the load on asphalt will be at the top of the Saudi list!
