Saliheen and AGIC (Apna Ghar India Club) will clash in final for the Jotun Cup League title, sponsored by Jotun Saudia and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association.
In the semifinals Saliheen got the better of MHA by 25 runs while AGIC got a scare before edging past Mazco in a tense encounter by 8 runs.
Saliheen batting first were bowled out for 212 runs. Amjad 83 led from the front and gave his team a good start with a stylish 83 runs.
Later, Qasim (21), Irfan (38) and Amjad Sr. (34) rallied to put up a respectable total.
For MHA Sami, Abdul Rahman and Sajid took 2 wickets each for 46, 25 and 34 runs respectively.
In reply MHA gave a spirited fight back to reach 187 but the asking rate was too high. Abdul Sami (40), Khalil (32) Mayraj (16), and Sher (18) batted well but others failed to reach double figures. Irfan claimed 3 for 26 while Hafiz 2 for 9 and Bilal 2 for 27 were the other wicket takers.
AGIC scored 183 for 7 wickets in their allotted overs. Abdul Wasay played a pivotal role scoring 53. Sami supported him with 42 while Rana (20) and Khan (20 n.o.) gave good support. Faisal 2 for 31 Mahmud 2 for 40 Aijaz bowled well for Mazco.
In reply Maazco fought till the end but fell short of target and ended up with 175 to lose by 8 runs Naseer 39 of 35 balls, Sabir 31, Tabassum 26 of 10 balls only. Umar took 3 for 29 and Sami 2 for 14 helped AGIC to enter the final.
In the consolation cup Pak Young beat KAIA by 5 wickets.
KAIA 107: Sangeen (35), Sheraz (18). Riaz Afridi 4 for 13 Amanullah 2 for 30 and Takdeer 3 for 14.
In reply Pak Young reached the target scoring 108 for 5 with Yahya Yahya scoring 32 while Mahboob took 2 for 35.
In the other match, JPCC beat IBS by 44. JPCC scored 201 for 6 - Saleem 2(1), Shareef (46), Malik (37) and Adil (33) did bulk of the scoring while Naeem picked up 2 for 18. In reply IBS scored 157 with Nadeem scoring 55, Shakeel (30) and Afsar (37) were the other run-getters. Asif Mujtaba took 4 for 10, Saleem 3 for 30 and Shafiq 2 for 38 did their best.
