The bulls-bears war ended in a standoff at Saudi stock market yesterday, as Tadawul index retreated all the way to 6663.03 points, which was roughly where it started the day.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) while reflecting large intra-day spike at 6751.17 points earlier, added nominal 1.77 points or 0.03 percent to close the day in the green territory.
All sectors performed in a mixed fashion, with five sectors accumulating an aggregate of 139.29 points.
One of the best performing sectors was Insurance which rose to 1.25 percent for the day.
Hotel and Agriculture sectors were major decliners, paring an aggregate of 161.16 points or 1.45 percent and 1.02 percent respectively.
Most of heavy weights closed in green; where Kingdom Holding surged by 4.76 percent, Al-Rajhi Bank 1.4 percent and SABB 0.9 percent.
However, Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) with 1.3 percent negative change was top loser among heavy weights.
Decliners outnumbered the advancers by a margin of 74 to 61 and the prices of 17 companies remained unchanged.
Insurance stocks led the top gainer chart at Tadawul, with Amana Insurance and Enaya Insurance, rising by 9.8 percent for the day.
On the other hand, Qassim Agriculture and Knowledge Economic City performed worst for the second consecutive day, declining by 10 percent and 8.33 percent respectively.
