Saudi Stocks showed narrow fluctuations yesterday, as Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) reflected a sideways walk for most of the session and ended red at 7,033.11 points. The index pared only 23.57 points or 0.33 percent for the entire day.
Investors' confidence restored at Tadawul as the volume of shares traded increased by 42.7 percent to reach 397.8 million shares. In addition, the value of shares traded increased by 13 percent over the previous day's value.
Trading activity was led by Mobile Telecommunications Co. Zain, which represented a relative market share of 46.6 percent on volume basis and nearly 30 percent on value basis.
Most of the major sectors ended the day with mild losses, with the Hotel & Tourism sector going down 1.07 percent.
Media and Telecommunication sectors have been unharmed, advancing 0.61 percent and 0.13 percent respectively.
Only Kingdom Holding among heavy weights managed a gain, surged by 0.89 percent, closing the day at SR 11.25.
The charts of top gainers and losers were filled with the insurance stocks. BUPA Insurance was key gainer of the day, up 9.87 percent to close at SR25.6.
On the worst side, ALLIANZSF Insurance and Allied Coop. Insurance were the biggest losers, down 7.3 percent and 4.96 percent respectively.
