Kingdom to host decorations and furniture show

Show organizer M.I.C.E Arabia Exhibitions and Conferences Co., in association with association with DMG Events, announced data on the growth and potential of Saudi Arabia’s interior design market and gave final details on the launch of Decorations & Furniture Exhibitions (Index) in the Kingdom.
The exhibition, held with the support of Saleh Kamel, president of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will take place at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events from May 29 to 31.
Held for the first time ever in Saudi Arabia, Decorations & Furniture Exhibitions Index KSA is the local edition of Index UAE, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest and longest established interiors and design exhibition.
Even before its launch, Decorations & Furniture Exhibitions Index KSA has piqued the market’s interest, with more than 220 international exhibitors pre-booking space, and show organizers releasing additional square footage to meet high levels of demand.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest growing markets of the Middle East and we’re witnessing an incredible boom in the construction industry,” said Jaafar Shubber, Decorations & Furniture Exhibitions Index KSA 2012 Project Manager.
“Huge investments are being made, both from the government and the private sector — in hospitality, commercial and residential markets, creating an incredible opportunity for the interior design sector.”
Index KSA is set to host 220 exhibitors from 27 countries, covering a total area of 4500m2 and featuring six different sectors: Furniture, Interiors, Kitchen & Bathroom, Lighting, Outdoor Living and Textiles.
Al-Mutlaq Furniture, Amber Gallery, Coleccion Alexandra, Dieffebi, Epoca, Fayek Furniture, Fine Art Lamps, Meuble El Chark, Roca, and Terzani, are some of the companies that will showcase their products and projects portfolio during the three days exhibition.
