Over the last four years, WWS membership in the region has grown ten-fold from a base of 30,000 members in March 2008.
On average, the retailer has added over 5,000 members per month since the program’s launch in the Middle East.
Members of WWS, one of the first global card less loyalty program to be launched in the region, account for 25 percent of sales in the Middle East.
The program was first launched in Hong Kong and China in June 2007 and is now implemented in most Giordano stores globally.
“The phenomenal growth of our membership for WWS is very encouraging. It tells us that our program is well-received by the customers who value our products and services and that they respond favorably to our way of rewarding them for their loyalty. The overwhelming response of our customers to our global loyalty program is indeed a vote of confidence that Giordano is getting it right,” said Ishwar Chugani, executive director of Giordano Fashions.
For a minimum purchase of AED200 or equivalent at any Giordano stores in the region, a customer is entitled to be part of WWS.
There is no tedious registration process as only a mobile number is required to complete membership.
WWS is a lifetime membership program that is automatically renewed by making at least one purchase during the year.
