The project was part of Kingdom Hospital and Consulting Clinics’ (KHCC) strategic plan, which aims to provide comprehensive health care services given the growing demand for such services.
This expansion will double the current capacity of the hospital. It will also add a comprehensive cardiac intensive care unit in addition to a children’s care unit and an intensive care unit for premature infants and newborns.
The hospital has also been equipped with the latest advanced medical devices for monitoring and to provide better care services and health care for inpatients. The hospital’s specialized team of doctors and nurses are highly qualified, certified and efficient. Prince Alwaleed said: “Kingdom Hospital’s expansion is in line with the company's investment strategy.”
Talal Al-Maiman, KHC board member and chairman of Kingdom Hospital, said: “The next expansion will take the hospital to a total area of 84,000 square meters of space to provide medical services. The KHCC is keen on maintaining its position as a leading health care provider locally and regionally.”
Dr. Fayez Takieddine, executive director for KHCC, said: “Kingdom Hospital and Consulting Clinics’ expansion is in keeping with its mission of providing state-of-the-art quality medicine and achieving patient satisfaction. The hospital will expand its differentiated services in coordination and association with leading centers of the world.”
