Bahrain Air has customized its service to market requirements. It now operates business/premium and economy class services on its route network.
Managing Director Capt. Ibrahim Al-Hamer said: "We are glad to participate for the second time in the Bahrain International Air Show. This gives the Bahrain aviation industry a great boost in exposure in both the region and the globe".
He said Bahrain Air currently operates to 18 destinations and plays a major role in linking Bahrain to major cities in the Gulf, Levant, Africa, Asia and Europe through Istanbul, with a fleet of modern Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
Richard Nuttall, who was appointed CEO recently, is optimistic about the growth of the carrier. "While 2011 was a difficult year for all in the industry, we are expecting traffic to improve in 2012,” said Nuttall.
“At Bahrain Air, we are continuously looking at ways to extend and improve our current offerings,” said the CEO.
Nuttall said Bahrain Air plans to operate to six more destinations this year. “The routes will be announced once we receive the required government approvals,” Nuttall said.
“We have successfully migrated to a new flight booking reservations system, giving our valued customers more flexibility and additional options for services when they book with us,” Nuttall said.
The airline's website has also been enhanced. Bahrain Air Marketing Manager Naeem Mahamoor said: "With sections for both B2C (business to customer) and B2B (business to business), the website is available in both English and Arabic with future regional customization in the pipeline.”
He added: “Our prime focus for 2012 will be value addition to different niche segments of the market including business travel, leisure, pilgrim, charters and MICE (meetings, incentives, and conferences and exhibitions), offering value, flexibility and consistency.
Nuttall said Bahrain Air aircraft will soon introduce state-of-the-art on board entertainment systems for premium class passengers are also being planned.
