The medal is the fourth-highest civilian honor given by Pakistan government to its nationals every year on the occasion of Independence Day. The awards are presented to national for distinguished services in various fields.
The investiture ceremony for the awards will take place on Pakistan Day on March 23, 2011.
"Sehar Kamran has been serving the cause of education with true dedication and her meritorious services for uplifting the school have been highly appreciated. She has played an active and commendable role in overall uplift of the school and acquiring international recognition," the citation said.
Sehar, an educationist by profession, holds master's degree in mass communication from the University of Karachi. She has been working at PISJ-ES since 1999.
