Alfaisal will follow up on its graduates

RIYADH: Riyadh Gov. Prince Sattam will sponsor the graduation ceremony of the first group of students from Alfaisal University in Riyadh tonight at the university’s Princess Haya bint Turki Hall.
Before the ceremony, there will be a board of trustees meeting chaired by its Chairman and Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.
A number of important issues on the agenda will be discussed at the meeting, including the university’s most prominent academic achievements and developments in undergraduate programs and postgraduate studies, in addition to a discussion and subsequent approval of the university’s budget for next year.
Ninety male and female students are graduating today, including 50 Master’s and 40 bachelor's graduates.
Faisal Abdul Aziz Al-Mubarak, vice president for academic affairs, said at a press conference at the university on Wednesday: “It is not only about seeing the students graduate; we will follow up on them after graduation. Requests from the scientific institutions to recruit the university’s graduates are evidence of their caliber.”
Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Obeid, vice president for development and finance and administrative affairs, said the presence of Prince Sattam at the university’s first graduation ceremony is an honor for all employees, professors and students. “The university is proud of the level of scientific knowledge that our students and alumni are armed with.”
