Defense Minister Prince Salman yesterday presided over a board meeting of the Prince Salman Prize for Young Entrepreneurs (PSPYE) of which he is chairman.
The meeting approved winners of the second PSPYE awards. Abdulwahab Al-Asmari and Salim Al-Khaldi were declared winners in the industrial sector category.
In the commercial and service categories, Turki Al-Yahya and Nur Al-Miqitaib and Muhammad Al-Shihri were declared winners.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Abdulrahman Al-Zami and Hasan Al-Shihri were declared winners in the technical category. The leadership prize went to Khalid Sulaiman and Muhamad Al-Inizi, while the prize for young businesswomen went to Ala bint Abdulrahman Al-Hariri and Huda Al-Mutairi.
Fahad Al-Thinyyan and Salih Al-Turki won the prize for achievements, normally provided to businessmen offering initiatives to young entrepreneurs.
Prince Muhammad bin Salman, PSPYE board member and head of the PSPYE executive committee, congratulated the winners of the prize. He said the next awards would cover GCC young entrepreneurs.
He said PSPYE is for young entrepreneurs of both genders and aimed at encouraging innovative young entrepreneurs in all areas. PSPYE Secretary-General Badr Al-Askar said the prize covers seven categories including the industrial, service, commercial, technical, leadership categories in addition to young businesswomen.
