BEIRUT, 21 May 2006 — Lebanese singer Alissa has postponed her tour of the United States and Canada. Tour organizers Yousif Harb and Maroun Abi Aad have revealed that visas for the singer and 15 crew members are not ready. Alissa worked hard to prepare for the release of her most recent album “Bastanak” (I’m Waiting for You) in order to meet her fan’s expectations and she is now witnessing the fruits of her labor. The album has proved to be a success and her songs have earned its No. 1 spot on a number of music charts in the Arab world.

The album, produced by “Rotana,” has shot to No. 1 in Virgin Mega Stores in the Arab world. The music video for the main song, also titled “Bastanak,” has also climbed to first place on several charts. The video was filmed under the direction of an American in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic.
