Jordanian army chief, Pakistani drone commander discuss military cooperation

LONDON: Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Jordan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, discussed military cooperation with Brig. Faisal Khan, commander of Pakistan’s drone group, at General Command headquarters in Amman.

Huneiti and Khan discussed drone systems, advanced defense technologies and the prospects for training to enhance the operational capabilities of both countries’ armed forces, according to Jordan News Agency.

The Pakistani commander expressed a desire to enhance collaboration and increase the exchange of expertise with the Jordan Armed Forces, highlighting the strong Jordanian-Pakistani commitment to utilize modern defense technologies.

Senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Pakistani military attache in Amman attended the meeting.

In November, King Abdullah visited Global Industrial and Defense Solutions, Pakistan’s largest defense manufacturer, in Rawalpindi. He met army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and other senior Pakistani officials to discuss strengthening military cooperation.
