Swiss appear set to reject divisive anti-immigration proposal

GENEVA: The Swiss appeared Sunday to have voted down a divisive anti-immigration proposal to cap the country's population, according to initial projections from the gfs.bern institute minutes after polling stations closed.
A separate vote on a law restricting access to conscientious objection to military service meanwhile appeared set to pass, the projections showed.
