Iran shoots down an Israeli surveillance drone, news agency says

DUBAI: The Iranian army downed an Israeli spying and surveillance drone in the ‌Hormozgan province, Iran’s ‌Mehr news ‌agency ⁠reported on Sunday, ⁠as expectations rose that a memorandum of ⁠understanding regarding ‌a ‌peace deal between ‌Iran and ‌the US could be imminent.
The wreckage ‌of a shattered Orbiter drone, ⁠an ⁠Israeli product, was discovered in cooperation with Iranian naval forces, the agency said.
