RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Saturday congratulated Iraq’s prime minister-designate Ali Al-Zaidi on his appointment as head of government, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Iraq’s newly elected president Nizar Amede nominated businessman Al-Zaidi as the country’s prime minister-designate in April, after he was endorsed by the country’s main Shiite alliance.
