RIAYDH: Saudi Arabia warned of the worsening situation in the region and renewed its condemnation of Israeli attacks on Palestine and Lebanon, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.
Speaking at the United Nations, Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasel, also condemned Iranian attacks on civilian facilities and the human and material damage they caused.
The Kingdom reiterated its rejection of any attempts to alter the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its Islamic holy sites. It also condemned illegal Israeli settlement activities, saying they violate international law and undermine prospects for peace.
Saudi Arabia stressed that achieving peace requires a ceasefire, preventing displacement, a withdrawal from Gaza, and the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
