BERLIN: The scale of a suspected Russian phishing attack using the Signal messaging app on German lawmakers is “extremely worrying” and calls into question the security of government communications, a senior MP told AFP Friday.
“The scale of the latest Signal hack that has come to light so far is extremely worrying,” said Konstantin von Notz, deputy chief of the parliamentary intelligence oversight committee.
“At present, no one can say with any certainty whether the integrity of MPs’ communications is still guaranteed.”
