Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi met European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner in the Belgian capital, Brussels, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed several topics related to cementing Gulf-European ties, the General Secretariat said.
While discussing the latest regional developments, Brunner reaffirmed the EU’s supportive stance toward the GCC states against the Iranian aggressions on their territories.
He further lauded the facilities and services provided by the GCC states to facilitate the evacuation of European nationals during the current crisis.
