RIYADH: Saudi Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan announced that applications and registration for Riyadh University of Arts will open in May, with classes set to begin in September.
Prince Badr, who is also the chairman of the board of trustees of the university, said the institution aims to become a leading center for cultural education in the Kingdom, offering a wide range of academic specializations that empower students to enrich the creative industries and contribute to the development of Saudi Arabia’s cultural sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Prince Badr said the launch of the university marks an unprecedented step in developing the Kingdom’s cultural sector and will serve as a cornerstone for creative education and cultural innovation.
Located in Riyadh, the university will welcome students in September across four initial colleges — Music, Film, Theatre and Performing Arts, and Cultural Management — offering eight academic programs, with plans to expand gradually to 13 colleges.
