RIYADH: Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the secretary-general of the Muslim World League and chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, has discussed the importance of friendship among nations with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

The meeting on Tuesday in Riyadh, which was held on the sidelines of the 11th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, focused on the importance of strengthening friendship and cooperation between nations and peoples, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Al-Issa highlighted the MWL’s efforts, initiatives, and programs that helped serve peace and dialogue. He also stressed the UN’s efforts to address issues with responsibility and courage, particularly the tragedy in Gaza and the Palestinian issue, the SPA added.
