JEDDAH: Jeddah Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi received Dr. Hadi bin Ali Al-Yami, executive director of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission, in Jeddah on Monday.
During the meeting, the governor was briefed on the commission’s role in promoting and protecting human rights in line with international standards across various fields, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
He was also informed about its efforts to raise awareness of human rights and strengthen the values of dignity, justice and equality across the Islamic world.
Al-Yami thanked the Kingdom for supporting the establishment of the commission’s headquarters in Jeddah and for providing all necessary facilities for its operations.
