KUWAIT CITY: Jasem Albudaiwi, secretary-general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, said on Friday that GCC countries have overcome “numerous challenges and achieved significant accomplishments” over the past four decades due to their “cooperation and integration.”

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the 45th GCC Summit in Kuwait on Dec. 1, Albudaiwi emphasized that these accomplishments were made possible by the guidance of both the founding and current leaders of the countries, who are “committed to the goals of prosperity, security, and stability for their people.”

He added that, thanks to their persistent efforts, GCC countries have become “a global focal point, securing numerous partnerships, agreements, and memoranda of understanding.”

The GCC chief also thanked Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Badah Al-Mutairi for his efforts in preparing the media center for the summit.
