RIYADH: The Saudi Polo Federation has announced its calendar for the new season, beginning with the Silver Cup Championship in mid-November.
The championship will be held at the Nofa Equestrian Resort west of Riyadh.
On Nov. 23, the Polo in the Park tournament will be held in Dubai, followed by the Gold Cup Championship at the end of the month. The AlUla Championship for Saudi riders will take place soon after.
In January 2025, the Desert Polo Championship will return for its fourth edition, and the season will conclude with the Arena Polo World Cup Qualifiers on April 24 next year.
Ahead of the new season, team training camps began yesterday for 30 riders from nine teams at Nofa Equestrian Resort’s polo field.
The Saudi Polo Federation aims to train and qualify new riders joining the sport, preparing them to compete in tournaments and represent the Kingdom at international events.
It aligns with the federation’s goal to promote the sport, in accordance with the strategy of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
