RIYADH: INDEX Saudi Arabia 2024 will take place Sept. 17–19 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center to meet the significant rise in demand for interior design fit-outs in the Kingdom.

INDEX Saudi is the Kingdom’s leading interior design, furniture and fit-out trade event where interior brands meet interior designers, retailers, distributors, and fit-out contractors.

The rising number of real estate projects for retail, commercial, hospitality, and residential properties, along with government initiatives to boost infrastructure as part of Vision 2030, are driving demand in the Saudi interiors market.

Giga projects such as Trojena, The Line, Sindalah, Diriyah Gate, the Red Sea Development project, King Abdullah Economic City, and others are attracting various international and regional interior and fit-out designers.

“Given the diverse range of interior design projects fuelling demand, INDEX Saudi Arabia is a perfect platform to forge invaluable connections, strike lucrative deals, and stay at the forefront of the industry,” confirms Jasmeet Bakshi, vice president of design and hospitality at dmg events, which organizes INDEX Saudi Arabia.

This year’s exhibition is packed with new features, including two conferences: INDEX Design Talks and Workspace Summit —taking place for the first time in Saudi Arabia — where over 120 speakers will share their wisdom in specially curated sessions.

Saudi Arabia’s initiative to entice international businesses with its regional headquarters program is also gaining traction. Over 120 international companies were allowed to move their regional offices to Saudi Arabia in the first quarter of 2024, a staggering 477 percent increase from the previous year.

From remote collaboration tools and augmented reality in the workplace to the rise of artificial intelligence and automation, INDEX Saudi Arabia will cover it all.

INDEX Saudi Arabia will this year reveal the new INDEX collection, a curated section dedicated to premium interiors, furniture and decor brands.

As Saudi Arabia’s interior design sector evolves, there is an increased demand for skilled designers across the country. To empower the next generation of design leaders, dmg events is also introducing INDEX Saudi Arabia Future Stars — a new competition dedicated to supporting talented interior design and architecture students across the Kingdom.

In partnership with ArchiNet — the Architects and Interior Designers Network —the competition is open to final-year interior design students and recent graduates from universities in Saudi Arabia.

“As the leading interior design event in the Kingdom, we are committed to enriching creative businesses, education institutions and individual designers by providing a supportive and inclusive community,” said Bakshi.

Co-located with the Hotel and Hospitality Expo, and the Lighting Design and Technology Expo, INDEX Saudi Arabia promises over 750 exhibitors across all collated events, and over 45 exhibiting countries along with nine different product sectors on the show floor.
