Saudi authorities thwart attempt to smuggle 7,200 medical tablets

RIYADH: Saudi border guards have successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 7,200 tablets subject to medical circulation regulations, state news agency SPA reported.

Land patrols in the Aseer region confiscated items and they were transferred to the appropriate authorities.

Initial regulatory procedures were promptly carried out. 

Meanwhile, in Al-Ardah Governorate of Jazan Region, border guards have foiled an attempt to smuggle 160kg of qat. 

Legal action was taken, and the confiscated contraband was handed over to the relevant authority.
