13 countries to showcase fashion, textile trends at Riyadh expo

Jeddah: More than 500 exhibitors from 13 countries will display the latest innovations in fashion and textiles at the second Saudi Fashiontex Expo from Aug. 27-29.

The exhibition at the Riyadh International Exhibition and Convention Center will feature men’s and women’s clothing, sportswear, knitwear, textile accessories, fabrics, yarns, leather goods, and haute couture designs.

Exhibitors from Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Egypt, Italy, Spain, UK, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Morocco, China, Ireland, and Indonesia will take part in the expo.

Mohamed El-Sherif, CEO of Pyramids Group and chairman of the expo, thanked the Saudi government, as well as the Riyadh and Jeddah chambers of commerce, for their support, highlighting the event’s transformation into a world-class fashion destination with new elements and activities.

The expo will allow Saudi companies to establish agencies, distributorships, and joint ventures with international counterparts, he said.

Exclusive B2B meetings will also facilitate business relationships and partnerships, El-Sherif added.

Hassan Berkani, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services in Casablanca, announced Morocco as this year’s guest of honor, with around 10 fashion houses taking part in the expo.

Mohammed Abdelsalam, president of the Chamber of Garment Industry in Egypt, highlighted efforts to showcase Egypt’s finest textile products and foster cultural exchange.

The three-day expo is a key event for international and regional franchisers, entrepreneurs, and business owners looking to engage with investors and build long-term partnerships.
