RIYADH: Tuwaiq Academy has established a specialized technical high school in Riyadh for gifted students in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Education.
The new educational establishment focuses on nurturing future talent through an immersive, application-based curriculum complemented by global certifications in specialized programs.
It aims to equip students with skills to drive innovation in a wide range of fields, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
The school offers programs certified by renowned global bodies in programming, information security and more.
Students will be educated in a competitive environment and encouraged to develop projects and potentially secure patents for their innovations. Using the latest technologies, the school, which targets talented high school students, strives to improve technical education in the country.
Students will be prepared for standardized tests and university examination by emphasizing practical skills through classes and activities led by experts.
The school also aims to prepare students for major competitions like the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Competition and Exhibition, and the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence, showcasing Saudi talent in a range of technical fields.
Founded in 2019, Tuwaiq Academy partners with major global companies like Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Alibaba and more to offer educational boot camp programs.
The academy aims to develop skilled professionals, university students and graduates by boosting technical creativity at the high school level.
