RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan lauded the support the education sector receives from the Kingdom’s leadership to continue the development of the education system.

The minister noted that this support aims to build globally competitive citizens through educational programs and projects that align with future goals and contribute to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program.

As the new academic year begins, Al-Benyan emphasized the importance of integrating the roles of all components of the education process, including the family and the school, to achieve the aspirations of preparing and qualifying students in the Kingdom.

He also highlighted the need to invest in students to enable them to compete globally, underscoring the shared responsibility to ensure a successful academic year and contribute to building a comprehensive educational journey.

“The Ministry of Education’s plan for the start of the new academic year is based on working within a strategic and integrated governance plan with all sectors, departments and education offices in the regions and governorates.

“This is achieved through the committees and specialized departments formed for supervision, implementation and operation, within a comprehensive work system that includes educational and administrative staff and field teams,” the minister said.

Moreover, he indicated that the ministry aims to provide a stimulating and attractive learning environment for students at the beginning of the academic year.

This involves enhancing their enthusiasm, raising awareness of the importance of seriousness and commitment, and implementing psychological, social and educational preparation programs within the school environment, the minister said.

Al-Benyan said that the ministry has strengthened its partnership with several entities in the public and private sectors to work as an integrated partnership system to support the continuity and success of the educational process at the start of the new academic year.

The ministry maintains ongoing collaboration with families to ensure the success of the education process, the regular attendance of their children in schools, and to motivate them to continue their educational journey, he added.
