DUBAI: A team of 25 Indonesian doctors has joined forces with medical professionals from the UAE to deliver healthcare services aboard the Emirati floating hospital in the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, the Emirates News Agency reported on Monday.

The collaboration forms part of the UAE’s Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, an initiative aimed at providing healthcare to wounded Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Medical teams aboard the floating hospital continue to deliver critical care to those injured during the Israel-Hamas conflict.

The facility has proved to be an effective model for handling complex cases, according to WAM.

Its services go beyond emergency care, offering prosthetic limb fittings and other humanitarian initiatives designed to restore hope and alleviate suffering among Palestinian civilians.

The involvement of the Indonesian medical team is a testament to the robust relationship between the UAE and Indonesia, reflecting the significance of the doctors’ humanitarian role and the difficult circumstances that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been going through as a result of the conflict.
