7,000 Palestinians in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj

RIYADH: The chairman of the board of directors of Ashraqat Hajj company welcomed the Palestinian undersecretary at the ministry of awqaf and religious affairs during his visit to the company’s headquarters in Makkah, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

The meeting between the chairman, Muhammad Maajini, and Hussam Abu Al-Rub focused on the company’s plans for Hajj this year, which include serving about 7,000 Palestinian pilgrims. Discussions included the itinerary for pilgrims traveling to Makkah.

Abu Al-Rub commended the Saudi government for its efforts to ensure the comfort and convenience of pilgrims, highlighting the contributions of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, as well as other agencies involved in the pilgrimage.

He also expressed his gratitude for King Salman’s offer to host 2,000 Palestinian family members of martyrs and those injured by the war in Gaza.
