RIYADH: Suitable housing will be provided for families in dire need across various regions of the Kingdom after Saudi Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail launched the Joodak Yulabi campaign on Friday through the Jood Eskan platform.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that the move comes following the success of the previous campaign, Jood Al-Manateq, which provided 4,939 housing units for developmental housing beneficiaries during the holy month of Ramadan.

Al-Hogail, who is also the chairman of the board of trustees at the National Developmental Housing Foundation, known as Sakan, expressed his gratitude to supporters and contributors to the Jood Eskan platform. He emphasized the pivotal role of the Sakan Foundation and the platform in the developmental housing sector.

The campaign seeks to offer sustainable housing solutions that empower families in need throughout the year.

Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kuraidis, the secretary-general of Sakan, said that the foundation strives to achieve family stability for beneficiaries, increasing home ownership among citizens and raising contributions of the non-profit sector to the gross domestic product.

The Joodak Yulabi campaign aims to provide 1,000 housing units during the Hajj season through community contributions from individuals, major donors, and partners, Al-Kuraidis added.

The Jood Eskan platform seeks to involve community members in development programs to achieve social solidarity through a controlled mechanism that ensures the delivery of community contributions in developmental housing.
