DUBAI: Two drug smugglers were killed in clashes with the Jordanian armed forces during an operation to thwart a smuggling attempt from Syria on Monday, Jordan News Agency reported.
Authorities said they seized “large quantities” and handed them over to the Narcotics Control Administration.
Smugglers have used Jordan as a corridor in recent years to traffic Captagon, a highly addictive amphetamine, out of Syria. Most of the world’s Captagon is made in Syria.
