Saudi navy chief meets with US naval delegation in Riyadh

RIYADH: Vice Admiral Fahd Al-Ghufaili, commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, recently met with the commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command, Fifth Fleet, and Combined Maritime Forces, Vice Admiral George Wikoff and his accompanying delegation, the Saudi Defense Ministry reported on X. 

The meeting reportedly addressed cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the US “in a way that serves and enhances maritime security in the region.”

Meanwhile, Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Abdulrahman bin Ayyaf Al-Muqrin met with Mauritania’s Minister of Defense Hanena Ould Sidi on Thursday. According to the Saudi Press Agency, they discussed military and defense cooperation and ways to enhance it.
