British Muslims laud Saudi Arabia’s promotion of moderate Islam

RIYADH: The president of religious affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque recently met with a delegation of Muslims from British forces currently visiting Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

Speaking to the party, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, noted that Islam was built on the monotheism of Allah and that its principles were based on good morals and values, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He pointed out that Islam was a religion of mercy, peace, security, stability, tolerance, and moderation, and he highlighted the importance of promoting the correct understanding of Islam and moderation.

Delegation members passed on their thanks to the Saudi government for its role in promoting moderate Islam and care for the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.

Al-Sudais said: “The correct understanding of Islam, in its comprehensive and complete meaning, is the safety valve and the lifeline from contemporary temptations.

“The great purposes of Islam are based on preserving the religion, the soul, the mind, and honor,” he added.
