JEDDAH: Kuwait’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on Friday performed Umrah rituals during his official visit to Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
He was received at the Grand Mosque by a number of officials in Makkah, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Sheikh Mohammed then departed from Jeddah after concluding his visit, during which he met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discussed bilateral ties and ways to boost cooperation.
The Kuwaiti senior official was seen off at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishal and a number of Saudi government and security officials.
Sheikh Mohammed “expressed deep gratitude to the Kingdom, its government and people for the warm hospitality and wished them ever-lasting stability and prosperity,” Kuwait News Agency reported.
