JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission has inaugurated its pavilion at the 2024 London Book Fair.
The event, which began on Tuesday, runs until March 14 in the English capital.
The Saudi pavilion serves as a platform for publishers and literary agents from the Kingdom to engage with international counterparts, promoting cultural dialogue and knowledge exchange.
The commission has introduced a range of programs to boost the Saudi publishing industry globally.
Featuring book exhibits, the Literary Agent Initiative, the Publishing Leadership Program and the Translation Initiative, the Saudi pavilion in London aims to foster and advance the Kingdom’s cultural industries.
The pavilion is also promoting the Riyadh International Book Fair as a significant cultural platform hosted in the Kingdom.
The Literary Agent Initiative aims to empower literary agents, in turn creating opportunities for authors. The Translation Initiative aims to enhance Arabic content by offering high-value translations into a range of languages.
The Publishing Leadership Program aims to improve the investment environment in the Saudi publishing industry, boosting its competitive edge in the global market.
