Saudi minister tackles Gaza during meeting with EU official

BRUSSELS: Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir reiterated the Kingdom’s calls for an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the implementation of a two-state solution in Palestine during a meeting with an EU official.

Al-Jubeir addressed the developments in Gaza and the expanding tensions in the region with the EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Sven Koopmans, during his official visit to the Belgian capital, Brussels.

He urged support for all efforts to end hostilities in Gaza that have placed majority of the population on the brink of famine and establish secure humanitarian aid corridors for the war-affected population.

The officials also discussed enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and the EU.
During his visit, Al-Jubeir met with Hannah Neumann, chairman of the EU delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula.
They both discussed regional and international issues of common interest.
The Saudi minister also visited the Egmont Royal Institute for International Relations in Brussels where he discussed with senior researchers the Kingdom’s foreign policy and its stance towards various regional and international issues as well as its efforts to enhance international peace and security.
